Like everyone else, Mark is an ordinary person who happens to have a variety of interests, including traveling, photography, videography, running, and mountaineering. He started doing half marathons (21km) then full marathons (42km) and eventually ultra-marathons (50km +) and later the most challenging ultra-trail marathon 50km in March of 2016. The longest road marathon he joined was at 60km.

Above all, Traveling and Photography is the thing he’s most passionate about. He likes to discover a lot of places, meet new people and experience their culture. He loves going to white-sand beaches and visiting remote islands.

Mark started as a management trainee, followed by a course consultant position for an IT company, and then as a marketing and business development officer, where he honed his SEO skills and later got promoted to a more senior role and managerial position in the next companies he joined. This led him to the idea of trying to work abroad and landing a job in Singapore that handled 12 clients from different countries and brands. With 15yrs in running SEO projects, he had developed a proven track record of ranking more than 20+ websites on the first page of Google SERP which helped his clients generate more leads and sales. A collective 6 yrs of experience in running paid media campaigns consisting of Google Ads (Adwords), Facebook Ads, Google Display Network, Youtube Ads, and Linkedin Ads and being able to handle campaigns with huge budgets of over $1M (Google Ads) and over $1.6M (FB Ads) which generated thousands of leads/conversions.

Career Biography

His marketing experience started when he was still a Management Trainee. In this job, he learns the art of sales and marketing in both traditional and online ways and was also involved in retail sales. After that, he was hired as a Course Consultant for an IT Company where he developed his online marketing and telemarketing skills. His third job as a Marketing and Business Development Officer is a major break for him. In this job, he performed multiple job roles in digital marketing, SEO, graphics designing, sales, and business development which later on led to him being promoted to a senior role to manage an SEO Specialist when he outperformed his senior. He then moved into real estate outsourcing for the Australian market and focused on SEO collaborating with content writers for well-written SEO-optimized articles. He is also held responsible for market research and other digital marketing aspects for the company. His SEO career later boomed and become SEO Web Marketing Manager at an outsource agency catering to British and Philippine clients. Here, he managed to build a marketing team from a team of 2 to a team of 18 and expand the core capabilities of the team from SEO to adding Web Development and Graphics Design. Aside from the regular SEO, he also performs Digital and Online Marketing, Lead Generation, Brand Management, and Social Media Marketing. Here, he is directly reporting to CEO’s and company Director’s. Next to this was a role as Web Marketing Project Manager and also an outsourcing agency catering to British and Philippine clients. Here, he managed to build a marketing team from a team of 2 to a team of 18 where he manages Website Design & Development Management of 13 websites and Social Media Management (Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Pinterest, and Linkedin). He also oversees the overall digital marketing aspects and SEO for the company. Here he successfully achieved 200,000 likes in Facebook Ads which was a big deal at that time somewhere in 2012. Right after this, he accepted a bigger challenge as a Head of the Marketing Team which is providing marketing support services to the 4 branches of the company located in Asia and Europe. After this company, he then started to seek a career abroad without leaving his hometown. At first, he tried sending out email applications to numerous companies. Out of hundreds of applications, only around 5 companies responded and scheduled an interview for him. And thereafter, one of which decided to hire him as an online staff. He has worked well for this company for the initial 6 months and since the company was impressed with his performance, they decided to bring him to Singapore to start working with him personally as a Senior Digital Marketing Strategist where he was held responsible for managing various digital marketing campaigns as well as leading a team of digital marketing strategists. Here marks his biggest accomplishments such as successfully managing and optimizing Google Ads (Adwords) campaigns with a total of over $1M budget. Successfully managed and optimized Facebook Ads campaigns with a total of over $1.6M budget. Managed to perform multiple job roles being a marketing strategist, account (client) manager, and business development manager all at the same time. Optimized the company website via SEO/SEM which resulted in a significant increase in both paid and organic traffic which translated into leads and new clients. The last experience but certainly not the least was working as a Digital Marketing Strategist for a company that caters to its branches in Singapore, UK, Australia, and Philippines. Here, he is Responsible for Lead Generation thru various marketing campaigns such as SEO, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Webinars, & E-mail Marketing. He was able to accomplish increased website organic clicks by more than 300%, from 1,700+ per month to 6,000+ per month within just 6 months, and increased the number of first-page keywords rankings by 600%, from 50+ keywords on the first page of Google to 350+ within just 6 months, regularly generated a number of successful leads per month coming from organic search (SEO) – 30 leads / 10 MQL / 3 Won Deals per month, wrote 30+ seo article blogs that generated an average of 800 – 1000 organic clicks per month which have contributed to generate leads, created, managed, and optimized dozens of linkedin campaigns that regularly generated a number of successful leads per month coming from organic search (SEO) – 400 leads / 50 MQL / 3 Won Deals per month, and Successfully managed and optimized a huge linkedin campaign budget of around 20-30K USD per month. 

Aside from these work experiences, he was also accepting part-time gigs for a client based in Hong Kong targeting the market in Japan and Taiwan. He is mainly doing google ads for the ecommerce website and achieved successful ads with ROAS of 400-600%.
